Kurdistan: In the Shadow of History “book” 2007 – 2009

(Susan Meiselas is a New York City-based professional photographer. Since 2007 she has worked as president of the Magnum Foundation, whose mission is to promote diversity and creativity in documentary photography.
Having participated in ArtRole’s international arts and culture exchange programme with Iraq and the Middle East, in Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom since 2007, she was able to reproduce the second chapter of her book ‘Kurdistan in the Shadow of History’ with ArtRole’s support. The book was launched in London by ArtRole. She delivered discussions and presentations in 2008 and photography workshops as part of the Post-War Art and Culture Festival 2009.)
