Adalet contributed an essay on contemporary cultural institutions in Iraq, and his experience working over a decade as Chief Executive and Founder of ArtRole in relation to cultural production and the value of cultural exchange, particularly within the Middle East, and the focus on social change through art. The book considers how practice is encouraged through institutions and how, in turn, practice influences institutions.
